* Flagentyl (Secnidazole) 500 mg 4 film-coated tablets. Antiamoebic & antiprotozoal.* Indications: Intestinal & hepatic amebiasis. Urogenital trichomoniasis.* Dosage: As prescribed by the physician; the dose should preferably be taken during a meal. Usual dosage regimens: 1) Acute intestinal amebiasis: one daily treatment: – Adults: 4 tablets (2g) as a single dose. – Children: 30mg/kg as a single or several divided doses. 2) Hepatic amebiasis: five-day treatment: – Daily dose: Adults: 3 tablets (1.5g) as a single dose. – Children: 30mg/kg as a single or several divided doses. 3) Urogenital trichomoniasis: 4 tablets (2g) as a single dose.* To be swallowed whole with some liquid.* Store below 25 degrees C.* Produced by: sanofi-aventis Egypt s.a.e.
