A Brief History of Pride Mobility
[ad_1]
In the world of home mobility products there are a few names that are almost always mentioned because of their commitment to quality. One such company is Pride Mobility Products Corporation. They have created many innovative and reliable designs as they develop mobility related products like lift chairs, electric wheelchairs, and electric mobility scooters.
Pride Mobility actually evolved from an existing family business, and in 1986 Pride began to focus solely on the production of lift chairs. Over the next few years they became well known for their well made products and affordable prices. In 1992 Pride Mobility expanded its operation and started to produce electric mobility scooters. Their goal was to provide fully functional and completely reliable adult mobility scooters that were sleek and stylish. They offered accessories for their products as well and began to build a large following of satisfied customers.
In 1996 the Jazzy was born. To date the Jazzy represents one of the most well manufactured electric wheelchairs on the market. One of the major factors in the success of the Jazzy is the patented mid wheel drive system that is incorporated into almost all of their power chairs. The mid-wheel drive system increases stability and greatly increases maneuverability. The Jazzy is still available today and is perhaps one of the most popular and well known brands of power chair ever made.
As Pride Mobility continued to expand they noticed that there was a real and pressing need for high tech and extremely specialized mobility products. This includes products geared towards rehabilitation and products for people with special needs. In 2000 Pride created a division that was solely dedicated to fulfilling these needs. The result is some of the most hi-tech and reliable home medical equipment available today. From pediatric power chairs, to a complete line of alternate controls, the goal at Pride has always been to make a better life for people who are mobility challenged.
In 2006 Pride Mobility Products celebrated their 20th anniversary. As always the customer continued to be the overwhelming priority at Pride. They decided to take a strong stance and pilot the mobility industry to meet demanding legislative changes. Pride spearheaded initiatives in Washington, DC that ensure that Americans that are in need of mobility products can have access to these products. They also launched the Jazzy Select, which is the most advanced Jazzy to date. It marked the 10 year anniversary of the Jazzy and combined performance with a contemporary style and the end result was an incredible masterpiece.
Pride Mobility has constantly evaluated, updated, and refined their mobility products always with the consumer in mind. They have also preformed many acts of public service such as providing funds to local communities, the Red Cross, the Boy Scouts and many others. Pride, and their employees, dedicate funds and time to among many others the American Heart Association, the MS society, and the ALS Foundation. This follows with the company creed which puts the customer, their employees, and the community first.
